{mosimage}Women novice and amateur golfers have a busy season ahead with the launch of the 2007 Nedbank Women's Series, with the Nedbank Amateur Women’s Series at the Kyalami Golf Club on Wednesday 28 February.

The Series takes the form of 17 events played nationally from February and November, giving amateurs an opportunity to 'up their game' while allowing novices to learn the 'tricks of the trade'.

"The Women's Series is indicative of Nedbank's commitment to improving and promoting opportunities for women in sport and gives good balance to our existing golf sponsorships."

Nedbank's investment in golf is well documented and includes the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge, the Nedbank Golf Challenge Amateur Series, the Nedbank National Golf Network handicap card and credit card with handicap functionality, the Nedbank SA Disabled Golf Open, and for the past four years, the Nedbank Women's Golf Tour.

By expanding the women's series to include a broader spectrum of golfers ranging from novices, to amateurs and professionals, Nedbank is truly making things happen by reaffirming its position as South Africa's dominant golf sponsor.
